Leukemia

July 26, 2021 - I am pleased to let you know that we raised $1,468,355.97 to support the vital work of the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC). This is an amazing number, thanks to you and other good hearted folks across Ontario who remained tremendously committed to fundraising, despite having to set aside the traditional May bottle drive.

The campaign has now topped more than $20 million raised over the last 20 years. Even more amazing is that while 20 years ago, 80% of children with leukemia or lymphoma would not survive, the investment in the development of better treatments and therapies means that today, over 80% do survive The goal is to stamp out blood cancers totally.

So, thanks to everyone who helped out with various fundraising efforts. Including our donation, UFCW Canada fundraising efforts for the LLSCĀ  across Canada altogether reached $2,106,158.80 for the 2020/2021 fundraising year.

Sisters, brothers, and friends, congratulations again and thank you for your LLSC fundraising efforts this year, and every year, to help to find a cure and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood cancers. And thanks also to Ted Moroz and the team at The Beer Store for partnering with us in this vital annual campaign to support the life-changing and life-saving work of the LLSC.

In solidarity,

John Nock, President
