UFCW Canada Local 12R24

Over the past few weeks, UFCW Local 12R24 members across Ontario participated in nomination processes as part of the procedure for selecting their union officers.

The general chairperson of the election committee has advised that this process is now concluded. Having confirmed the eligibility of those who stood for nomination and noting that there are no contested positions, there will be no need to hold an election.

The following officers have been elected by acclamation to their respective positions:

President: John Nock

Secretary-Treasurer: Craig McDowell

Recorder: Danielle Haslip

Vice President; Region One Logistics: Jordan Trochimchuk

Vice President; Region One Retail: Kelli Avis

Vice President; Region Two Logistics: Andrew Stevens

Vice President; Region Two Retail: Jason Mellon

Vice President; Region Three Logistics: Kurt Snetsinger

Vice President; Region Three Retail: Ben Saucier

Vice President; Region Four Logistics: Rob Soule

Vice President; Region Four Retail: Andrian Conlon

Vice President; Region Five Logistics: Jay Lush

Vice President; Region Five Retail: Budd Roberts

Vice President; Region Six Logistics: Rob Howe

Vice President; Region Six Retail: Tony Santos

 Vice President; Region Seven Logistics: Trish Pare

Vice President; Region Seven Retail: Tim Langley

The above noted candidates will assume their positions for a four-year term commencing in January 2026.

Background

A Notice of Election for Officers was mailed to each UFCW Local 12R24 member.

All nomination and election processes – including timelines, methods of notice, eligibility, and more – followed and are governed by the UFCW International Constitution and UFCW Local 12R24 By-Laws.

The election process was overseen by an election committee led by a general chairperson from the UFCW Canada National Office – Derek Johnstone, Special Assistant to the UFCW Canada National President.
